What Quick Links does

Quick Links enables Zendesk agents to open administrator-configured links from within Zendesk. Links may use dynamic placeholders populated with information available in the current ticket, requester, organization, user, or Zendesk account context.

Administrators may also enable click tracking. When enabled, Quick Links applies an administrator-defined tag to the ticket so usage can be measured through Zendesk Explore or the customer’s own reporting systems.

Information accessed within Zendesk

Quick Links may access Zendesk account configuration, ticket identifiers and metadata, ticket fields and tags, requester and organization attributes, and signed-in user information when needed to display the app, populate configured placeholders, or apply ticket tags.

Accessing this information within Zendesk does not mean it is transmitted to or stored by ASA Labs.

Information transmitted to ASA Labs

Quick Links may transmit limited product telemetry to ASA Labs to help operate, secure, support, and improve the app. This may include the app name and version, subscription plan, an anonymous installation identifier, configured link and group counts, event type, and event timestamp.

This telemetry does not include the Zendesk account subdomain or any other field intended to identify a specific customer account. The installation identifier is a randomly generated value used only to distinguish installations for product analytics.

Information ASA Labs does not collect

Quick Links is not designed to transmit or store installer, administrator, or agent names or email addresses; ticket subjects, descriptions, comments, or conversations; requester details; ticket field values or tags; attachments; configured link labels; destination URLs; Zendesk passwords; or other customer content in ASA Labs systems.

Data storage and retention

Quick Links configuration, including configured links, groups, placeholders, and tracking settings, is stored within the customer’s Zendesk environment or Zendesk-provided app storage.

Limited anonymous telemetry transmitted to ASA Labs may be stored using service providers that support the operation and security of the app. ASA Labs retains this information only for as long as reasonably necessary for product operations, security, support, and improvement.

Link click tracking

When Zendesk-based click tracking is enabled, Quick Links applies an administrator-defined tag to the ticket. That tag remains within the customer’s Zendesk account.

Data sharing

ASA Labs does not sell customer data or use Quick Links data for third-party advertising. Limited information may be processed by hosting, database, security, and infrastructure providers acting on behalf of ASA Labs.

Link destinations are selected and configured by the customer’s Zendesk administrators. ASA Labs is not responsible for the privacy or data-handling practices of those external destinations.

Security

Quick Links operates within the Zendesk Apps Framework. ASA Labs applies reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to limit data collection, protect server-side credentials, and prevent unauthorized access to stored telemetry.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and ASA Labs cannot guarantee absolute security.

Privacy requests

Zendesk administrators control the links, placeholders, tracking tags, and other Quick Links settings configured for their account. Administrators may disable optional features or uninstall the app through Zendesk.

Because Quick Links telemetry is anonymous and not linked to your identity or account, ASA Labs may be unable to associate stored telemetry with a specific account or individual. For privacy questions, contact ASA Labs.

Changes to this policy

ASA Labs may update this Privacy Policy when Quick Links features, data practices, or legal requirements change. The date at the top of this page indicates when it was last updated.
